Back to the Past #5: A Road To Choose

This post is a digital version of a letter I wrote to myself long time ago.

It was written on January 3rd 2021, as I draft this post on 17th August 2021.

So, here goes...

"A road to choose

I made a lot of choices in 2020

Some were awesome

Some were bad

And some led to fun; while others led to dire consequences

Even from my thesis that kind of started looking up from mid-January; working on the thesis and presentation with 4 hours of sleep on February

Working last minute and printing the thesis on the day of my graduation on March; which brought a lockdown 48 hours later with uncertainty kicking in during April & May

April was filmy and fun, while May hit me with day-to-day responsibilities & melodrama to accompany the evenings, 'coz cable tv was out of options; while human drama was free

June was going down with rise in temperature and financial crisis. This is when everything changed.

> I took up a job at a small start up gaming company - PEPOLA INDIA. as a HRA (human resources and administration) - AFTER FINISHING A MS DEGREE IN BIOTECHNOLOGY!

That job was hell bent on making the science enthusiast cry; a rip off it was! Made me do shit I didn't know or didn't want to do in the first place!

June 13th - June 16th: I spoke to the Principal of NGS (Namma Ooru Global Schools, Tirunelveli)

I had spoken to the founder, sent my video demo of me teaching 10th grade Science - I spoke about electric circuits: resistors in series and parallel.

Soon, I spoke to the correspondent too - and they roped me in, in no time! I had my offer letter by 15th evening and started the next day. Morning I gave my resignation and accepted my role as a Science Teacher

Eventually, they made me do French too, which I did not regret one bit!

July 17th: Science Teacher, Day 1.

It was Chethans' birthday and I logged into my class at 9.30 am with the help of the admin staff - principal ma'am and Abirami ma'am.

In 6 months, I was called to Tirunelveli

Shit

Teachers were told to teach from campus

Shit

'Twas 6 months,

    Teaching was fun,
    Kids were fun too
The management is shit; and os was the ed-tech system.

Should I tell them, I do not plan on taking a B.Ed course?

Should I tell them, I would really love to quit & study for my exams?

Maybe I can work and study? Like work at NGS while giving my IELTS ?

To top all these off, I had taken up a shitty decision of pursuing my guitar classes again so I could learn to play the chords and play the 'Dil ka hai jo haal' song from Disney's Ishaan.

Ma went to Sharjah, sometime in December

So, the opportunist and optimist in Ma, called me to work in Sharjah/ Dubai

Radha was finally left with 5 things that brought in the confusion to her future

1. She needed to go to NGS, Tirunelveli

2. She did not want to drop out of Guitar Classes

3. She did not want to do a B.Ed course either

4. She wants to work to save money ( and experience ) for her Ph.D

5. When do I sign my RL ?

So, 7 months and 15 days have passed since then. I extingushed my role as a Science-cum-French teacher at NGS on the April of this year. Ever since then, I've been working as a content creator for a start-up education-tech company called FlashPrep.

It's a mibile application available for android and apple OS users. We make chapters in to memorable, easy study format - and present them as flash cards,

It's been 5 months now as a content creator. I'm goping to appear for NEET, JNU EE & hopefully CSIR NET too - which means I need to start studying, while making sure the work is done at all costs!

So, that's about it!
Until later
